Story of Suzume

Suzume” is an action-adventure story about a high school girl named Suzume, who lost her mother at a young age and now lives with her aunt. On her way to school, she encounters a mysterious young man named Souta, who is searching for doors in abandoned places.

After an accidental encounter with one of these doors, Suzume discovers that some doors need to be closed and locked to prevent giant worms from entering our world from the ever-after, which can cause earthquakes. Suzume and Souta embark on a journey across Japan to stop these disasters. Along the way, Suzume meets a unique cat named Daijin, who she believes may be causing the doors to open.

Through her travels, Suzume meets new people, makes friends, and confronts the long-hidden grief of losing her mother. She finds hope, strength, and even love along her journey.
